Sam's Club

Here's one snapshot you won't see in the Post-Gazette's June 6th expanded society pages (just what Pittsburgh needs--more photos of aging socialites posed in front of Warhol prints wearing pink off-the-shoulder shantungs clutching watered-down gin & tonics and leaning against their cheatin' hubbies who are three sheets to the wind and one call away from a divorce attorney).
These four gals were apparently out torting around when they heard of a last minute casting call for NBC's Law & Order. Seen smothering, er, flanking actor Sam Waterson are (l to r): Laurie Pennacchini of the famous Fox Chapel equestrian Pennacchinis; Linda Minichino of Mount (and we do mean mount) Lebanon; Carmela Paolillo, a distant cousin twice-removed of the Carnegie Melons, ooops, Mellons; Robin Colburn, a long lost Frick.
NBC would not confirm if the women were cast but a spokesperson did say Mr. Waterson appeared "tired and worn out" upon returning to the set.
